How to play Vega in Street Fighter 5

Vega is quite the unique character in street fighter 5 as his gameplay changes quite a bit with or without claw and not just the range and damage as in previous iterations.

Being effective with Vega requires you to switch between claw and clawless.

With claw his range increases but he loses the ability to use his command grab but gains access to Aurora Spin Edge and he gains a knockdown on Flying Barcelona Attack.

Without the claw you gain the command grab and more combo paths open up.

With the highest walkspeed in the game his throw game is quite good when you start implementing his command throws.
Combined with his strong mid-range normals his neutral/footsie game is one of the best when played correctly.
