How to play R. Mika in Street Fighter 5

Rainbow Mika is one of Street Fighter 5’s aggressive grapplers.

Mika really benefits from staying close to the opponent while slowly forcing them to the corner.
Moving them to the corner can be done by being able to hit Passion Rope from your Passion Press on reaction everytime and learning what combos corner carry the most (shooting peach enders probably).

Once they’re in the corner Mika can put on the pressure by mixing up her Brimstone grab, spaced fully charged st.HK, V-Trigger mixups (really hard to deal with), frametraps, normal throws, jumping cross ups , Divebomb fake crossup and anti airing on reaction, basically go ham and don’t let them out.

When taking a beating instead of giving one, Mika has EX Shooting Peach which has one hit of armor but this isn’t enough against some meaty setups so blocking properly helps a lot.

So it’s important to be aware of how you tech and be sure to don’t get stuck in the corner yourself.
